Oahu Keikis Preschool and Daycare

Oahu Keikis attributes its humble beginnings from the late Dr. Bessie Usita who saw the need to minister to the little kids in Oahu through her dynamic teachings. She was employed by Nani Mona Montessori Preschool as a teacher, when in 1989, its owner left for the mainland and sold the business to her. She saw this as a golden opportunity to minister to those little kids left behind and thus, she improved the curriculum to include Bible Readings and Christian Learning Materials. Since then, its new name, Oahu Keikis, adopted a more structured instructional approach known as the Beka System developed by Pensecola Christian University in Florida.

Mission:
Oahu Keikis believes in training a child in the way he should go and when he is old he won't depart from it-(Proverb 22:6) Training involves Intellectual, Emotional, Psychological, and Physical human development in which God is the center and from where everything else evolves and revolves.

Goal:
Oahu Keikis has a vision to teach young children, ages 2-5 years old, the fundamentals of early education - Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic (3Rs), and good values and character as exemplified in the Word of God.

Hours of Operation:
The school opens at 6:30 in the morning until 5:30 in the afternoon, Monday through Friday, all year, except State and Federal Holidays.

We are located inside the premises of the Kaneohe Higashi Hongwanji Church, across the Kaneohe Playground.
